Historical
Formula 1 made her come-back in United States in 2000 and the choice for the track is a symbol. The circuit is the older written in the competition calendar, he has been built in 1909. F1 and United States have a common story: 9 circuits at this time have received Grand Prix, with sometimes three in the same season, like in 1982. This year, Long Beach, Detroit and Las Vegas were seeing three different drivers winning : Niki Lauda, John Watson and Michele Alboreto. Indianapolis had already known Formula 1, until 1960, because of the 500 miles, which were officially a competition for the world championship. However, many drivers who were there weren't playing the other Grand Prix.
